1 Day Mount Bisoke Hiking Tour
This is a 1 day Mount Bisoke safari that is suitable for travellers interested in hiking. This is a short Rwanda safari to Volcanoes National Park, where you will hike to the summit of Mount Bisoke to have a glance at the scenic views around this mountain and descend back to the starting point. The hike to and from takes approximately 6 hours.
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from a hotel in Kigali and transfer to Volcanoes National Park for a hike to Mount Bisoke
You will be picked up by a Chopper Tour and Travel company representative guide from a hotel in Kigali at 4 am. You will be briefed by the park guides when you reach Volcanoes National Park. A ranger guide will accompany you on the hike to Mount Bisoke. The hike to the summit will take about 4 hours, and descending to the starting point will take 2 hours, but this will depend on your level of fitness. This hike takes approximately 6 hours, and once you get to the summit, you will be able to set eyes on mountains that are close to Mount Bisoke, like Mount Karisimbi, Mount Muhabura and many more. You will also have views of the various ecosystems of Volcanoes National Park while at the summit of Mount Bisoke.
You will descend from Mount Bisoke and head back to the starting point after the scenic views at Mount Bisoke. When you arrive at the park headquarters. The guide will take you to a hotel for lunch, and then the guide will drive you back to Kigali. You will either be dropped off at Kigali Airport or at a hotel in Kigali.
