Detailed itinerary

You will be picked up from a hotel in Kigali at around 4 am, and you will begin the journey to Volcanoes National Park. The journey to Volcanoes National Park takes about 2 hours, and then, when you arrive, you will go for a briefing at the park headquarters.

Once you are done with the briefing, you will go for gorilla trekking, which will take you about 30 minutes to 7 hours to spot the gorillas, depending on their location. You will spend one hour with them after finding where they are, and you will have to see how they feed, play and much more. You will take photos of them, and then you will head back to the park headquarters for a packed lunch.

After lunch, you will leave Volcanoes National Park and head to Iby’iwacu cultural village for a Rwanda cultural tour. You will have an interaction with the locals at this place who will educate you about the history, traditions and culture of the Rwandese people. You will watch them prepare their local dishes, and then you will be transferred back to a hotel in Kigali.
