This 3 days Murchison Falls fly-in safari is a short luxury safari that is designed for clients who prefer short-distance journeys, given that the flights take about an hour compared to using road transport, which takes about 6 hours. Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Fly to Murchison Falls National Park.
Depending on your location, you will connect to Entebbe International Airport for your domestic flight to Murchison Falls National Park, which departs at around 13:00 and arrives at Pakuba Airstrip at around 14:00. Upon arrival, you will be picked up by our driver guide, who will brief you about the safari and then transfer you to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will drive to the top of the falls, where you will be able to view the most powerful water in the world, and later drive back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls
Your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge after an early breakfast to go for a morning game drive in the park, where you will be able to view lions, leopards looking for a morning hunt, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs, Jackson’s hartebeest, waterbucks, warthogs, hippos, oribi, and others in the savannah plains. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will drive to Paraa jetty for a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls, which starts at around 2:00 pm and offers great views of the scenery and animals like hippos in water, Nile crocodiles basking on the banks, antelopes, elephants, and buffaloes along the shores, and views of aquatic bird species for the bird lovers. After the boat cruise, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning game drive and departure flight to Entebbe
After an early breakfast, you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park for a short morning game drive, where you will look out for some of the animals that you might have missed during the previous game drive. Later return to the lodge for an early lunch, check out, and transfer to Pakuba airstrip for your domestic flight back to Entebbe International Airport, which departs at around 2:20 pm and arrives at Entebbe airport at around 5:15 pm, which brings your 3 days Murchison Falls fly-in safari to an end.
