Detailed Itinerary For 3 Days Nyungwe Chimp Trekking
Day 1: Pick up from a hotel in Kigali and transfer to Nyungwe National Park
You will meet a guide on the first day of the 3 days Nyungwe chimp trekking at the hotel where you will have spent the night in Kigali. The guide will brief you about the 3 days of Nyungwe chimp trekking and then you will start the journey to Nyungwe National Park with a visit to the Kigali genocide memorial. The Kigali Genocide Memorial for a Rwanda safari carries the history and details of everything that transpired during the 1994 Rwandan genocide. Visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial provides you with awareness about what happened during the 1994 Rwanda genocide. After visiting the memorial, you will head to a hotel for lunch.
The guide will drive you to Nyungwe National Park and you will arrive in the evening and check into a lodge, relax, have dinner and go to bed.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and a canopy walk
You will have breakfast on the second-to-last day of the safari and then link up with the park wardens at the park headquarters for briefing. After receiving a briefing about chimpanzee trekking, you will depart from the park headquarters. Your guide will guide you through the appropriate routes. You will spend approximately 30 minutes to 4 hours searching for the chimpanzees in Nyungwe Forest. You will spot them and there you will be allowed to stay with them for only one hour. You will spend time observing them and learning more about them as you capture shots of them in their natural habitat. The guide will drive you back to the lodge and you will have lunch.
After lunch, you will engage in a canopy walk that will start at 2pm, taking approximately 2 hours and ending at 4pm. You will explore the ecosystems of Nyungwe National Park, including Nyungwe Forest, while you are on the suspended bridge, which is 160 m long and 70 m high. You will then be taken back to the lodge for relaxation, and in the evening, you will have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 3: Depart to Kigali airport
You will have breakfast at your own leisure on the last day of the 3 days of Nyungwe chimp trekking; you will then check out of the lodge after completing breakfast. The guide will then take you back to Kigali, and you will be dropped off at the airport, where you will leave for your next destination.
