4 Days Gorilla And Chimpanzee Tour
This is a 4 days gorilla and Chimpanzee tour that will be conducted in Rwanda in two National Parks, that is to say, Volcanoes National Park and Nyungwe National Park, where you will engage in a gorilla trek and a chimpanzee trek. The gorilla trek on a Rwanda safari will take place in Volcanoes National Park, and the Chimpanzee trek will take place in Nyungwe National Park, with an added activity, which is a canopy walk that will also take place in Nyungwe National Park. This 4 days gorilla and Chimpanzee tour will also include a city tour in Kigali to the Kigali genocide memorial and the Rwanda art museum.

Detailed itinerary for the 4 days gorilla and Chimpanzee tour
Day 1: Pick up from Kigali airport and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On the first day of the 4 days gorilla and Chimpanzee tour, you will be picked up from Kigali airport by a guide who will interact with you and you get along before going for a city tour in Kigali. You will start with a visit to the Kigali genocide memorial, where you will be able to meet the guides who will give you knowledge about what took place in the 1994 Rwanda genocide. You will get information on how this genocide started, and also get to see some remains of the genocide. You will then leave this memorial place and head to the next location.
You will have a visit to the Rwanda art museum and get to sight several art pieces and then go for a lunch meal at a hotel in Kigali. You will then start the journey to Volcanoes National Park. You will check into a lodge at Volcanoes National Park, and you will relax. You will have dinner and then go for the night.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking
On the second day of the 4 days gorilla and Chimpanzee tour, you will have an early morning breakfast, and then you will receive your packed lunch from the lodge. The guide will then transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will be told about how to behave during the gorilla trek in Volcanoes National Park, and then you will go for the trek with an armed ranger guide. Depending on the location of the gorillas, you will spend about 30 minutes to 7 hours as you search for the gorillas. You will then meet a gorilla family after the search, and you will spend 1 hour with me, which will expose you to the way they feed, play and much more. You will take pictures following the guidelines provided, and then you will head back with the guide. You will get back to the lodge and you will relax.
In the evening, you will have your dinner meal, and then you will go for your night’s rest.

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park for a canopy walk
On the third day of the 4 days gorilla and Chimpanzee tour, you will have an early morning breakfast that will be served in Volcanoes National Park at the lodge. After the morning breakfast, you will then check out of the lodge. You will start the journey to Nyungwe National Park. When you get to Nyungwe National Park, you will check into a lodge, and then you will refresh yourself. You will be served lunch at the lodge in Nyungwe National Park.
The guide will pick you up from the lodge and take you to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will then go for a canopy walk at the 160 m long bridge and 70m high after a briefing. You will be able to see numerous attractions in Nyungwe National Park while at the suspended bridge. This canopy walk takes approximately 2 hours, and after 2 hours of observing the attractions in Nyungwe National Park from above, you will be returned to the lodge. You will then have dinner in the evening, and after you go to your night rest.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Kigali airport
On the last day of the 4 days gorilla and Chimpanzee tour, you will have an early morning breakfast and then you get to the park headquarters with the guide you will be briefed by the park wardens and after understanding the rules and regulations to follow, you will head to the forest with the ranger guide to carry out a chimpanzee trek. You will trek for about 30 minutes to 4 hours looking for the chimpanzees, and you will have encounters with other primates, mammals and birds. You will spend only 1 hour with the chimpanzees in their place of residence, and you will take notes on how they feed, play and breastfeed, plus other ways that they conduct themselves. You will then head back to the lodge with the guide.
You will have a lunch meal at the lodge, and when you get done, you will leave the lodge and start the journey with the guide back to Kigali Airport.
