Day 2: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Nyungwe National Park

You will have breakfast early in the morning, and then the guide will transfer you from the lodge to the park headquarters for a briefing. After being briefed about Rwanda gorilla trekking, you will be allocated a gorilla family to find, and you will be given an armed ranger guide to accompany you. You will spend approximately 30 minutes to 7 hours searching for the Rwanda gorillas, and then you will stay with the Rwanda gorilla safaris for one hour after spotting them. You will observe how they behave and then take pictures of them. You will then retire to the lodge, and you will have lunch.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and a canopy walk

At the lodge in Nyungwe National Park, you will have breakfast, and then you will be picked from the lodge by the guide. You will then go for a briefing at the park headquarters. You will be briefed about Rwanda chimpanzee trekking, and then you will begin chimpanzee trekking with an armed ranger guide. You will spend about 30 minutes to 4 hours searching for the Rwanda chimpanzees, and then you will have 1 hour with the chimpanzees after spotting them. You will observe their movements, how they feed, play and much more. You will take pictures of the chimpanzees, and then you will head back to the lodge for lunch.

After having lunch, you will be picked up by a guide from the lodge who will take you for a canopy walk. The Nyungwe canopy walk will take approximately 2 hours, and you will be able to see the Nyungwe forest from the top of the bridge. The suspended bridge is about 70m high and 160m long. You will be able to spot primates and bird species. The guide will then transfer you back to the lodge, and you will spend the rest of the day there. You will have dinner in the evening, and then you will retire to bed.
