Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Maasai Mara.
On the first day of 4 days Maasai Mara Safari. Your safari guide will pick you up from Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or from your hotel, welcome you and give you a brief of the safari. You will travel to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, a well-known wildlife attraction in both Kenya and Africa.
You’ll stop along the way at the Great Rift Valley to take in the breathtaking views of the rift valley escarpments before continuing to the reserve in time for lunch, which you’ll have after checking into your lodge. You’ll go on a game drive in the afternoon in search of creatures like lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, and wildebeests, among others, that are so impressive. You will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay in the evening after the afternoon game drive.
Day 2: Enjoy a full day in the Maasai Mara.
On the second day of 4 days Maasai Mara Safari. Wake up early in the morning and have a hearty breakfast. After breakfast, meet your safari guide and travel to the Maasai Mara National Reserve’s plains for a full day of game viewing. Among the wildlife you can see there are lions, elephants, Cape buffalo, cheetahs, zebras, African wild dogs, rhinos, elands, warthogs, Masai giraffes, and numerous bird species like the Kori bustard, Fischer’s lovebird, and herons.
You’ll eat your picnic lunch at one of the picnic areas in the plains near the Mara River before embarking on another game drive to look for further species. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight in the evening.
Day 3: Enjoy a full day in the Maasai Mara.
On the third day of 4 days Maasai Mara Safari. Wake up early in the morning and have a delicious breakfast. After an early breakfast, meet your safari guide and depart for the Maasai Mara National Reserve’s grasslands for another full day of game viewing. On this day, you may also visit the Maasai community and take a hot air balloon ride for a bird’s-eye view of the area’s lush savannah plains and diverse animals. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight in the evening.
Day 4: Departure for Nairobi.
On the fourth day of 4 days Maasai Mara Safari. Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast. Check out of your lodge and meet your safari guide. You will experience the en route morning game drive as you are departing the reserve for Nairobi. The morning en route game drive is so rewarding, as you are going to sight the early risers like lions, buffaloes, rhinos, elephants and others, plus bird species, before leaving the reserve. Upon your arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight home or dropped off at any place comfortable for you in Nairobi.
