Day 1: Pick up from Kigali airport and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Before you head to the Kigali genocide memorial, you will first be briefed about the safari and how it is to be conducted. At the Kigali genocide memorial site, you will tour around and see the remains of the Rwandese who took part in the 1994 Rwanda genocide. You will learn about the events that happened during the genocide. The Kigali genocide memorial was put in place to commemorate the people who lost their lives during the genocide. You will then be transferred to a hotel in Kigali for lunch.
After lunch, you will start the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Cyanika border. You will arrive in the evening and check into a lodge. You will have dinner and an overnight stay.

You will get the guidelines to follow while gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will have the packed lunch meal with you, and then you will set off to the forest. The trek, depending on the location where the gorilla family is allocated to you, will take about 1 to 7 hours to find them. After finding them, you will stay with them in their natural habitat for 1 hour. After taking pictures and observing these primates, you will head back to the lodge.
The guide will pick you up from the lodge in the afternoon, and then he will drive you to the Batwa community for a Batwa cultural experience. You will meet and greet the locals, who will take you through their culture and traditions. The visit to the Batwa community will be a good opportunity for a cultural experience. You will then head back to the lodge and have dinner. You will retire to bed after dinner.
