5 Days Lake Manyara and Serengeti Safari | Tanzania Wildlife Safaris.
A 5 days Lake Manyara and Serengeti safari is an amazing safari experience that takes you to Tanzania’s top safari destinations: Lake Manyara National Park and Serengeti National Park. The safari offers you excellent game viewing and some exciting activities, such as a Tanzanian hot air balloon safari in the midst of beautiful landscapes, with inclusive accommodation at the best spots inside the parks that are best to offer the wildebeest migration season.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Lake Manyara National Park.
Your Tanzania safari driver picks you up from the hotel in Arusha or the airport. He will welcome you and brief you about the safari that starts on your journey to Lake Manyara National Park, which takes you about 2.5 hours in your own private and exclusive 4×4 Land Cruiser safari vehicle.
Arrive at your lodge for lunch. After lunch, go for an afternoon game drive that offers you the spotting of the amazing wildlife in the park, mainly the big cats such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, and many other top animals like rhinos, elephants, and wildebeest. During the experience, you will watch the tree-climbing lions, among others. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National Park.
After breakfast, meet your safari guide and go for the morning game drive that is considered the best time to spot the animals at their most active. As your Tanzania tour is private, your game drive timings are flexible, which is convenient if travelling with children or if on a honeymoon where you perhaps want to lie in longer on some of the days.
After the morning experience, you may enjoy your packed lunch in the middle of the wilderness or drive to the lodge. After lunch, go for the afternoon game drive for a more Tanzanian safari experience, and after dinner, have an overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park.
Wake up early in the morning at around 6:15 am for the last optional morning game drive in the park to see more of the wildlife in the park. After driving back to the lodge for a relaxed breakfast, check out of your lodge and then proceed for a transfer to Serengeti National Park.
Arrive at your lodge and then have lunch, and after lunch you will go for your first game drive in the Serengeti that offers you the chance to explore the park. Later, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Full day in Serengeti National Park.
After breakfast, you will have a full-day experience in Serengeti National Park; that is, you may choose to have a morning and then an afternoon game drive with a packed picnic lunch. Or you may optionally enjoy other activities like a Maasai village visit and nature walk below at an additional cost.
During the day, you may also choose to be taken to a traditional Maasai tribe village on the outskirts of the park, as well as choose to book a guided nature walk where you can enjoy an hour-long walk with the local experienced guide based at the camp; this allows you to closely observe and then learn about the biodiversity within the vicinity of the lodge.
And in the afternoon, you can enjoy the afternoon safari game drive in the park, during which you can hopefully get to spot any of your favourite animals which you may have missed seeing so far during the Tanzania safari. Return in the evening to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Optional hot air balloon safari and return to Arusha.
You may optionally go for the hot air balloon experience to have a unique sighting on the park plains, later enjoy a bush breakfast, and then return to the lodge, check out from the lodge, and start on your journey to Arusha (an optional one-way flight back to Arusha is available at an additional cost).
Arrive in Arusha by early afternoon or get a free onward transfer to the airport for your flight back home that brings your 5 Days Lake Manyara and Serengeti safari to an end.
