A 5 days Materuni Waterfalls, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti safari is an amazing Tanzania safari that takes you to Tanzania’s incredible tourist destinations, that is, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, as well as exploring the foothills of Kilimanjaro Mountain for a Materuni Waterfalls hike.
Day 1: Arrival, visit to Materuni waterfalls, and transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Upon arrival at the airport, your Tanzania safari guide will be ready to pick you up and welcome you to Tanzania. After a short briefing, start your journey to the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro for a Materuni Waterfalls hike. Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Drive and Maasai Bomas Visit.
After breakfast, with your packed lunch, head for a full-day game drive in the crater. You will descend 600 metres into the crater, which is home to many wildlife species, including the big five mammals like lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos and elephants. Other wildlife species in Ngorongoro include wildebeests, antelopes, cheetahs, hyenas, waterbucks, hippos, and many others.
During the experience, you will also spot many bird species around Ngorongoro Crater, like ostriches and flamingos common along the shores of Lake Magadi. During your game drive around Ngorongoro Crater, you will enjoy a Maasai Boma visit to interact with the locals and then return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park and game drive in Serengeti National Park.
After breakfast, check out and then proceed to transfer to Serengeti National Park, which is famous for its big cats and diverse wildlife. The great wildebeest migration around this time is expected to move through the East and Central Serengeti towards the southern Ndutu area.
Later, enjoy a picnic lunch and then a short introductory game drive in Serengeti National Park for wild game viewing. Therefore, proceed to the lodge in the park. As you are spotting the incredible wildlife, including lion prides and many others, check in and relax as you wait for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 4: Full-day game drives in Serengeti National Park.
After breakfast, meet your Tanzania safari guide and then head out with your picnic lunch for a full day in Serengeti National Park. During the day, you will enjoy a morning game drive and explore the Mara River area to spot the annual great migration as it is crossing to the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya, as well as spot the Big Five in the savannah plains and other wildlife species.
After the morning game drive, you enjoy your picnic lunch and then later enjoy another game drive experience in the park, returning to the lodge for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Departure.
After breakfast, check out and then either drive to Arusha or transfer to Seronera Airstrip for your departure flight that is scheduled at 11:00 am, while enjoying your last en route game-viewing experience that brings your safari to an end after 5 days Materuni waterfalls, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti safari.
