6 Days Tanzania Safari | Tanzania Classic Northern Circuit Package.
A 6 days Tanzania safari is an outstanding safari that takes you to the top 3 of Tanzania’s finest national parks: Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and then Ngorongoro Crater. During the safari, you will have wonderful game drives to see the Big Five mammals; you will also have the opportunity to witness the great migration, which is one of the 7 natural wonders of the world, as well as visit the ancient Olduvai Gorge, the most well-known anthropological site in the world that is known as the cradle of humanity.
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport.
When you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our company representative, who will welcome you and brief you about this Tanzania safari and then transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Upon arrival, check in and then have dinner at your booked hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Tarangire National Park.
After your delightful breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and then transfer to Tarangire National Park with great views along the way. Once you arrive, check in to your lodge in time for lunch.
After lunch, go for the game drive to search for the wildlife like African elephants, wildebeests, hartebeests, zebras, gazelles, elands, giraffes, and buffaloes near the river and around residual pools, among many others. During the experience, you will see the leopards, cheetahs, painted wolves of Africa, endangered wild dogs, fringe-eared oryx, gerenuk, and over 550 bird species. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park.
After your early breakfast, check out from your lodge and start on your journey to Serengeti National Park, which takes approximately a 5-hour drive; this is where you will travel through Masai villages and then the beautiful farmland of Karatu. You will drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, outside the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater and into the Central Serengeti.
Upon arrival, you will be impressed by the vast plain holding millions of wild animals, like lions; watch the annual wildebeest migration, which is the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth; and many others. Later, enjoy your packed lunch and proceed with your game drive to see many other animals like hyenas, leopards, buffaloes, cheetahs, rhinos, and others. Return to your lodge for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park.
Wake up early in the morning and then enjoy breakfast. After that, meet your safari guide and then go for a morning game drive in the park to see the early risers, including the famous Big Five mammals (lions, buffaloes, rhinos, leopards, and elephants), and depending on the season, you will watch the wildebeest’s annual migration. Later, return to the lodge for lunch and a bit of relaxation.
After going for the afternoon game drive, you can see the animals that you might have missed during the morning game drive, which includes hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, zebras, topis, impalas, gazelles, hippos, warthogs, elands, waterbucks, honey badgers, mongooses, monkeys, ostriches, Nile monitor lizards, massive Nile crocodiles and many others. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to the Ngorongoro Crater.
After your hearty breakfast, check out and transfer to Ngorongoro with an en route game viewing experience. Along the way, you will experience and visit Olduvai Gorge, which is one of the most significant prehistoric sites on the planet. Later, continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, at the crest of the crater rim. From this, you can look down upon the vast 260 km2 caldera stretched out before you.
Optionally, you can visit the local Maasai Boma and meet the indigenous herders in their village and then learn about their centuries-old lifestyle and culture. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater.
After breakfast, descend to the mighty Ngorongoro Crater for an extensive game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is among the best places in Africa to see all the members of the Big Five in one place; most of the animals here are very relaxed and habituated to the presence of humans and vehicles, and the cloud-draped crater walls make for dramatic pictures and memories.
After the crater drive, enjoy your picnic lunch on the crater floor before being driven back to Arusha; if your flight is on the same day, then you will be dropped off directly at the airport, which brings your 6 days Tanzania safari to an end. Safe travels.
