Detailed schedule
Day 1: Pickup and transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and then to Murchison Falls National Park
On the first day of the 7 Days Queen – Kibale and Murchison Safari, our driver-guide will meet you wherever you are and give you a brief introduction to the trip before setting out for the northwestern Ugandan destination of Murchison Falls National Park. You will stop along the way at the Ziwa rhino sanctuary for a rhino tracking session before continuing your journey with a lunch stop in Masindi.
After lunch, you’ll continue to the Murchison Falls National Park, where you’ll drive right up to the top of the falls to take in the views of the cascade and water splashes, among other things. You will drive to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay from the top of the fall.
Day 2: A morning boat excursion and a game drive
On the second day of the 7 Days Queen – Kibale and Murchison Safari, your driver-guide will pick you up from the lodge following an early breakfast, so you can go on a morning game drive where you may see the early risers. You can see several bird species, like the shoebill stork, as well as vast herds of elephants, buffalo, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, giraffes, lions, and leopards, during the game drive. You will return to the lodge for lunch following the game drive.
Afternoon boat cruise: After lunch, embark on an exhilarating boat ride to the base of the falls, where you can see large herds of hippos and crocodiles in the water, buffalo, elephants, and antelopes by the shores, as well as a variety of aquatic birds like kingfishers, cormorants, bee-eaters, and hornbills. You will drive back to the lodge for dinner and the night after the boat cruise.
Day 3: Go to the National Park of Kibale forest
On the third day of your 7 Days Queen – Kibale and Murchison Safari, check out of the accommodation and meet your driver guide to make the transfer to Kibale National Park. It’s a full-day trip, during which you’ll stop for lunch along the way and take in the breathtaking views of the locals, farms, traditional homesteads, the Rwenzori Mountains, and tea plantations. You will proceed to the lodge after reaching Kibale National Park, check in for supper, and spend the night there.
Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi Swamp Walk
On the fourth day of the 7 Days Queen – Kibale and Murchison Safari, you will meet your driver guide after an early breakfast and travel to the Kanyachu Visitors Centre for a lecture on the guidelines and requirements for chimpanzee trekking. You will be assigned a chimpanzee family to hike with and a park guide who is familiar with the forest’s routes after the briefing.
Once the chimpanzees have been located, you will spend an hour with them in their natural habitat, where you will have the opportunity to learn more about their lifestyle, behaviours, watch them feed, enjoy the juveniles playing up in the trees, take photos and record videos with a flashless camera, and more. Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on where they are, because they like to move from one place to another in search of food. You will walk back to the park headquarters, where you will meet your driver guide and take a shuttle back to the lodge for lunch after spending an hour with the chimpanzees.
After lunch, you’ll go on a fascinating swamp walk in the Bigodi sanctuary where you can see a variety of bird species, including the great blue turaco, black crowned waxbill, black bishop, grey winged robin-chat, yellow-billed barbet, and view mammals, including otters, bush pigs, sitatungas, bushbucks, and several primates, including blue monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, grey-chee You will drive back to the lodge for dinner and the night after the nature hike.
Day 5: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park
On the fifth day of your 7 Days Queen – Kibale and Murchison Safari, you’ll have a leisurely breakfast before checking out of the lodge and meeting your driver/guide for the trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s second-largest national park. You will pass through breathtaking scenery, including the Rwenzori Mountains, Lake George, tea plantations, and more. After you get to the park, you’ll proceed to check in at the lodge for lunch. After that, you may either relax there or go on an afternoon game drive to see creatures including elephants, buffalo, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, bushbucks, and warthogs, among others. You’ll drive to the lodge after the game drive, sign in, eat supper, and spend the night.

Day 6: An afternoon boat excursion and a morning wildlife drive with lion tracking
On the sixth day of the 7 Days Queen Kibale and Murchison Safari, your driver-guide will pick you up from the lodge after an early breakfast and take you on a morning game drive or lion tracking excursion on the Kasenyi plains. The big four mammals, lions, leopards, elephants, and buffaloes, as well as other creatures like waterbucks, bushbucks, and Uganda kobs, will all be visible during the game drive, along with several bird species. You will return to the lodge for lunch following the game drive.
Afternoon boat ride: Kazinga channel, a 40km long channel that connects Lake George with Lake Edward, is the perfect place for an amazing boat cruise. You’ll drive there after lunch. You can see a lot of hippos and Nile crocodiles in the water during the boat trip, which lasts for about two hours. You can also see buffalo, elephants, and warthogs drinking water along the banks, as well as a variety of waterbirds, including the yellow-billed stork, cormorants, hornbills, African skimmer, kingfishers, and fish eagles.
Along the coastlines, you may observe fisherman setting up their gear for night fishing and watch them snap lovely shots, among other things. Following the boat tour, you’ll embark on a night-time game drive to see some of the creatures you missed in the morning before returning to the resort for supper and the night.
Day 7: Morning wildlife game drive and return to Kampala
On the final day of your 7 Days Queen – Kibale and Murchison Safari, you will meet with your guide after breakfast to go on another morning game drive in the park, where you will have the chance to see creatures that you might have missed on your first game drive.
After the game drive, you will check out of the park and begin the trip back to Kampala. On the way, you will stop for lunch and make a stop at the Equator to shop for crafts and souvenirs. You will then continue on to Kampala, where you will arrive in the early evening. Your driver guide will then drop you off at the Entebbe International Airport in time for your departure flight, or at any other location they recommend.
