8 Days Tanzania Birding and Wildlife Safari Tour Guide.
An 8 days Tanzania birding and wildlife safari is an exceptional Tanzania experience that takes tourists to the spectacular attractions on a Tanzania safari. During the safari, you will enjoy mainly two safari activities that include birdwatching and game viewing experiences, as well as walking safaris to encounter the wildlife in the park. Day 1: Arrival.
You will be picked up by your safari guide from the airport; he will welcome you and brief you about the safari. Depending on the time of your arrival, you may optionally go for a city tour in Arusha to visit different places around the city, like visiting the local market, visiting craft shops, and then interacting with the locals and many others. Later, transfer to your hotel for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Arusha National Park.
After breakfast, meet your safari guide and then transfer to Arusha National Park, which is the smallest national park in Tanzania; during the experience, you will see many animal species like buffaloes, zebras, gazelles, monkeys, and others. Day 3: Transfer to Tarangire National Park with a walking safari.
Get up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, check out, and then transfer to Tarangire National Park, with impressive views along the way. Upon arrival, you will enjoy the en route game-viewing experience as you are heading to your lodge to enjoy lunch.
After lunch, you will return to the park for an impressive and rewarding walking safari to spot the park areas where the safari vehicle does not reach to see smaller animal species and other animal species like zebras, antelopes, giraffes, and others. The park is home to over 500 bird species that reside in the savannah plains dotted by the baobab trees. You will watch bird species like grey crowned cranes, Kori bustards, little swifts and many others. Later, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Birdwatching and game drive in Tarangire National Park.
After breakfast, you will meet your safari guide and then go for the fascinating Tanzania birdwatching safari experience. This is where you will watch various bird species like the African Marsh Harrier, Ashy Starling, Northern Pied Babbler, Pygmy Batis, Yellow-necked Spurfowl, and many others in the park’s different areas. Later, return to the lodge for lunch.

Day 5: Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and cultural bomas.
After breakfast, check out from your lodge and then transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will proceed to your lodge and have lunch and then descend into the crater. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is known as one of the natural wonders that is identified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to many animal species, like 25000 animals and over 500 bird species.
Later, after lunch, you will go to the cultural Bomas for a wonderful cultural experience that will offer you the best experience, a late dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Birding and game drive in Ngorongoro Crater.
After breakfast, drive to the crater rim with impressive views; before descending it, you will enjoy and see the animal species, including the big five mammals (buffaloes, rhinos, leopards, lions and elephants) and many others. Later, enjoy a picnic lunch and then proceed to the crater, which is a bird’s haven for birdlife to watch bird species like grey-crowned cranes, lesser spotted eagles, white-headed vultures, Lappet-faced vultures, Kori bustards, Fischer’s sparrow larks, and many others.
Later, drive to the shores of Lake Magadi to see the flamingos that are located in the crater, and it is a perfect birdwatching location. Later, drive back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Walking safari in Ngorongoro.
After your hearty breakfast, you will head back to the crater and then go for the Tanzanian walking safari to search for more beautiful and colourful bird species that you might have missed during the previous birding, as well as encounter other animal species in the crater. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8: Departure.
